Vu Connect is enabled without any additional MCUs or bridges

Telepresence business provider Vu TelePresence has introduced Vu Connect, a new interoperability kit enabling its users to connect with other video conferencing systems.

Vu users, with the new release, will be able to connect face-to-face with all videoconferencing systems that support Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and utilise H.264 Baseline Profile and G.711 industry standards for video and audio encoding, respectively.

Vu Connect is enabled without any additional MCUs or bridges, said the company.

Customers of manufacturers of companies like Polycom, LifeSize, Tandberg, among others, will now be able to expand their networks and connect with Vu units all over, added the company.

Vu TelePresence co-founder Devita Saraf said the company's focus is to democratise telepresence and video conferencing for companies of all sizes and its SIP integration is a huge step in achieving its mission.

"Finding cost effective solutions that will control overhead and accommodate growth is key utilization. Now interoperability across disparate systems truly makes the whole world your boardroom," said Saraf.
